A young horror author meets Emma during the promotion of his debut story collection in Belgrade. She praises his imagination—but claims his writing lacks one thing: real experience. To remedy this, she offers him a tour during the final three nights of October. What follows is a descent into the shadows of the city—séances led by enigmatic hosts, nights spent in the decaying yet majestic hotel, where the mediums dwell, strange encounters with the organizers of occult gatherings, and a visit to an exclusive, near-mythical nightclub that seems to exist outside time. Emma delivers what she promised: experience. But what the young author receives is more than he could have imagined—an initiation into something he can neither understand nor escape. A philosophical horror novel exploring the limits of identity, the nature of possession, and what remains of the self after the self is gone.
